In accordance with the requirements of the Outcome Standards for Registered Training Organisations, Smart Solar Training provides the opportunity for students to apply to have prior learning recognised toward a qualification or units of competence for which they are enrolled.

However, please note that Solar Accreditation Australia, the national accreditation scheme operator does not recognise RPL’d candidate records.

Our organisation does not offer entry-level VET sector training.

An unrestricted electrical licence issued by an Australian state or territory is a prerequisite for enrolment in this course.

This course consists of two main components, a Theory and a Practical (held at our training facility)

Options:

  1. Self-paced online Theory + One day Practical or ..
  2. Four days Trainer led online via Zoom Theory + One day Practical or..
  3. Four days Face to face Classroom Theory + One day Practical

Although it is not mandatory, we recommend completing around 50% self study before attending the training. Some self study will be required with training tutor support included with all our courses.

Total Nominal Hours: 80

In the context of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and Vocational Education and Training (VET), “nominal hours” refer to the anticipated time needed to deliver and assess a unit of competency or module.
